Annie’s Sausage & Bean Casserole

 

8 beef sausages

1½ tablesp W’shire sauce

3 teasp oil

1 tablesp tomato paste

1 onion sliced

1½ tablesp Demerara sugar

1 green pepper sliced

2 teasp mustard powder

400g red kidney beans, drained

1 teasp Mediterranean herbs

400g tin tomatoes

~ ½ pint water

1½ tablesp white wine vinegar

2½ tablesp Gravy granules

Prick and grill sausages

Fry onion and green pepper

Add rest of ingredients, simmer for an hour - check, may need to add
 extra water as it cooks

Thicken if necessary

Sensational with mobs of mash on a wintry day
